Fancy Text Generator

Want a 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱 word in your LinkedIn post, 𝓬𝓾𝓻𝓼𝓲𝓿𝓮 letters in your Instagram bio, or 𝔤𝔬𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔠 text for a gaming username? Most social apps don't let you change fonts, but this fancy text generator gets around that with Unicode. Type your text once and you'll see it in more than a dozen styles: bold, italic, bold italic, script (cursive), bold script, Fraktur (gothic), double-struck, sans-serif bold, monospace, circled "bubble" letters, full-width, small caps, upside down, strikethrough and underline. Tap Copy on any style and paste it into X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Discord, YouTube or almost anywhere else. These aren't really fonts: each style uses separate Unicode characters, originally made for maths and other symbols, that happen to look like styled letters. That's why they work everywhere text does, but it also has downsides you should know about. Screen readers may read them letter by letter or skip them, so blind and low-vision people may not understand your post, and search engines and in-app search may not match them to normal words. Use fancy text for a word or two of emphasis, never for whole posts, names you want people to find, or important information. Everything runs in your browser.

Tip: some styles don’t have every character, so unsupported letters stay as normal text.

How to use the fancy text generator

  1. Type or paste your text.
  2. Find a style you like.
  3. Tap Copy and paste it into your post, bio or username.

Accessibility and fancy text

Unicode styled letters are separate symbols, so assistive technology may read "𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨" as "mathematical bold capital H, mathematical bold small e…". Keep styled text short and put the important words in plain text.

FAQ

Why do these fonts work on Instagram and X?

They aren’t fonts but Unicode characters, so any app that shows text can show them.

Why do some letters show as boxes?

Older devices or fonts may lack those characters. Most modern phones and browsers support them.

Is fancy text bad for SEO or accessibility?

It can be. Search and screen readers may not treat styled characters as normal letters, so use them sparingly.

Can I use it in my username?

Many platforms allow it, but some block or strip special characters, and people may struggle to search for you.
