Sometimes you just need to show someone what's on your screen: a bug in an app, a quick walkthrough for a colleague, a slide narration for a class, or the steps your parents keep forgetting. This free online screen recorder does it straight from your browser, with no software to install, no account and no watermark. Press Start, and your browser asks what to share: your entire screen, a single app window or one browser tab. You can also add your microphone to narrate, and in Chrome or Edge you can capture the tab's or system's audio too. A timer shows how long you've been recording. Press Stop, or use the browser's own "Stop sharing" button, and the video appears right here for you to watch back before you download it. Recordings are saved as a WebM file, which plays in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, VLC and most modern players, and uploads to YouTube and Google Drive. Everything is recorded and stored by your browser, so the video never touches our servers. Screen recording works on desktop browsers. Most phones and tablets don't allow websites to capture the screen, so use your device's built-in recorder there instead.
How to record your screen
- Tick whether to include your mic and tab or system audio.

Tips
- Record a single tab for the cleanest result without notifications.
- Close private apps and messages before sharing your entire screen.
- Need an MP4? Most video editors and converters open WebM.
FAQ
Is there a time limit or watermark?
No watermark. Length is limited only by your device’s memory, so for very long sessions record in parts.
Is my recording uploaded?
No. It is captured and kept by your browser until you download it or close the page.
Why can’t I record on my phone?
Most mobile browsers don’t support screen capture for websites. Use your phone’s built-in screen recorder.
Why is there no system audio?
System and tab audio is only offered by some browsers (mainly Chrome and Edge), and on some systems only when you share a tab.
